My Top 5 Makeup Products from the Drugstore: Worth the money?

Hey Again, I hope your all doing well!! In today’s blog post I am going to give you an insight into my top 5 drugstore products which I almost use daily, when i’m not just lying at home watching Netflix all day ahahaha! This is not sponsored in any way shape or form, the products were all brought with my own money, and all options on all of these products are my own!! All these products can be found in Superdrug, in store or online or for MUR and Freedom products they can be found at, all these products are £5 or less (So inexpensive right???) Now, Ive said all the important stuff, lets just get straight into it!

  1. MUA Pro Eyeshadow Palette Fire Vixen £5

This palette is a very (VERY!) affordable, it ranges from pink tones to some browns and grey’s to make the perfect spring/summer look! The color’s a very pigmented and easy to blend, I occasionally mix all the pink tones together and place them through the crease and then place one of the shimmery pinks all over the lid to make a perfect pink look! I chose this palette out of many as my most used palettes as it is so affordable for the quality and I really enjoy making some perfect pink eye looks for any day I feel like having bright makeup!! I would really recommend it for anyone who is into their pink eyeshadows!!!

2. Collection Lasting Perfection- shade 1 and Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer C1. BOTH £4

Both of these concealers from the drugstore are amazing especially for the price, £4!! (how can you go wrong?!?) The palest shades are perfect for pale skin and both of these brands have a shade to fit everyones skin tone as the Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer has up to 18 shades!!! The Collection Lasting Perfection in shade 1 isn’t the palest concealer but it is perfect for covering up spots and imperfections on the face, it can be easily blended on the face and has an amazing coverage, it also doesn’t leave any orange spots upon the face meaning the concealer leaves the skin looking flawless. The Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer has only recently been brought out by Makeup Revolution in early 2018 but I must say, besides the Collection Lasting perfection, it is the best concealer I’ve tried, it is very creamy for under the eyes and almost feels hydrating and it so easy to blend into the face. Many people have been comparing this concealer to the Tarte Tape Shape and for £4, I think it is almost identical in consistency and just as good so you should all give it a try if your looking for an affordable concealer!!

3. Freedom Duo Eyebrow Powder- Dark Brown £3 & Freedom Pro Eyebrow Pomade-Dark Brown £5

Freedom Cosmetics are a sister brand to Makeup Revolution in the UK, and both these eyebrow products and perfect for the perfect brow shape and look. Personally, I use the brow pomade to outline the shape of my brows and fill them in with a 99p Eyebrow brush from Primark, I then go in with the Eyebrow powder and place it at the start point of my brows and fill in the gaps so they don’t look too harsh or heavy. The brow pomade is very creamy and easy to apply to the brows, also very pigmented to achieve the perfect eyebrows. The Duo Eyebrow Powder is perfect because it isn’t that intense which is perfect for getting a subtle look, there are also two shades in this duo for whatever brow shade you have.

4. Collection Contour Kit Contour Kit 1 £4

On a daily basis, I enjoy having a subtle contour and highlight and this small palette it perfect for just that!! This palette is perfect on pale skin, the bronzer isn’t at all orange and doesn’t look streaky upon the skin, the intensity can be built up on layers if wanted but for an everyday look, I believe this is perfect. The highlight side of this palette is very pigmented and also perfect for an everyday makeup look, this highlighter can also be built up to have an intense glow. This palette overall is a definite bargain!! and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for an affordable and amazing bronzer and highlight kit. There are also a variety of shade ranges, perfect for all skin tones!

5. MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer – Tranquility- £3

These MUA Lip Lacquer’s are the most affordable lip colors I’ve tried and my favorite one is in the shade Tranquility, it is a very darkish Nude and looks great on the lips. They don’t feel sticky or uncomfortable on the lips and are very wearable for everyday use, this shade looks perfect with any makeup look. There are a huge variety of shades varying from Nudes to Blue’s, so there is a color to fit everyone!! I would really recommend these to anyone.
