Whats in my Everyday Makeup Bag (Drugstore)- Winter Edition.

Hey Again, I hope your all doing well!! In today’s blog post I am going to be showing you guys the numerous makeup products in my makeup bag which I use on an everyday basis. I don’t usually do my makeup on an everyday basis unless I really want to, when going to 9 am lectures it is always about sleep over looking good and I know which one I’d rather pick!! I don’t use all these products daily, this makeup is normally the makeup I use when I’m doing a full face of makeup, on other days I just use fewer products. each and every one of these products were brought with my own money so this is not a sponsored post!! All these products can be found in Superdrug and the eyeliner can be found in Wilkinson’s or the Essence website.. I’m going to be showing each item in the order in which I apply them to my face just to make it easier and as a kind of tutorial of what I use daily, Enjoy lovelies..

Moisturizer simple kind to skin, Hydrating Moisturizer £2.89

So, the first thing that I use on an everyday basis is my simple kind to skin, Hydrating Moisturizer, this is a sample size which I got in a gift box for Christmas!! I use this as it creates a smooth base for the makeup and also makes the skin look hydrated and healthy (what more can you ask for?!?) Joking aside, It is very important to use moisturizer because it allows the skin to stay hydrated and if moisturizer isn’t used on a daily basis it can develop wrinkles and aging in the skin compared to others who actually use it daily. (sorry to scare you ahaha) In the summer I will change to using a moisturizer with SPF 25 just to keep my skin looking healthy and protected..

Primer Olivia Hale Primer £3–

I’ve never really been a huge fan of Primers and think they can be a hit or miss product, but I decided to use this one and now I use it almost everyday (when I remember) It has a silicone texture but it leaves your face feeling so smooth and combined with the moisturizer, it makes the perfect base for makeup and I’ve seen an improving effect on the longevity of my base makeup due to this primer!!

Foundation- Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25hr nude 010 Light Porcelain £5.99

I only use Foundation on days where I want my skin to look perfect and doing a full on face of makeup, but other times I just use my concealer and powder (because I’m lazy). This Foundation is very light which is perfect for my pale skin but this foundation does come in a wide range of shades perfect for every skin tone. It has a buildable coverage, when putting the first layer on, it still shows through my imperfections and spots but if I put another layer on, I am good to go!! I would really recommend this foundation to anyone who is looking for an affordable light coverage foundation..

Concealer- Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define £4–

This is a holy grail product of mine and I’ve been using it non stop since I brought it, it’s nearly run out!! Most days I just use this with some powder to cover up my imperfections on my face and this still makes my face look flawless, without even using Foundation!! This is perfect for brightening up the eyes and concealing up my spots, there is a variety of different shades that are perfect for every skin tone, next time I go into Superdrug I am definitely going to pick up more!! (I’m obsessed ahaha)

Makeup Revolution Pressed Powder Translucent £2

As you may be able to tell this powder is a bit worse for ware, I literally use this daily and is another Holy Grail of mine!! There are some days where I really can’t be bothered to wear makeup but still need to wear minimal makeup so I use only this, It gives me a little bit of coverage and mattifies and smooths my face making it look like I’ve put more effort in than I actually have (especially in exam season) I’ve already got a back up of this powder for when I run out, that’s how much I love it!!

Freedom #ProArtist Highlight and contour £5

This Highlight & Contour Kit is perfect for pale skin and is only £5 (a bargain right?!?) The contour shades aren’t orange which is a common problem with Drugstore contour shades on pale skin, this calves out the perfect cheek bones without it looking harsh on the face. The highlighters (omg!!) their amazing, the white one is perfect for my skin tone and makes me skin look so bright and fresh and each shade in this palette is so (soo) pigmented, only a light hand is needed. I small contour & highlight brush comes with this but I accidentally lost it (oops) This also comes in another shade for darker skin tones which is amazing!!

Freedom Duo Eyebrow Powder Dark Brown £3 & Freedom Pro Eyebrow Pomade-Dark Brown £5 and Primark 3-in-1 brow tobacco £2-

I don’t usually use a combination of all these products,  but I sometimes use a combination of the Freedom products or just the 3-in-1 brow pencil from Primark. All of these products are perfect for getting the perfect brow shape!!! The Primark pencil has a combination of an angled pencil which is perfect for carving out the shape of your brows and then has a little pot of powder which is also perfect for filling in the gaps in my brows. I generally use the Freedom Brow products when I have more time because they need to be used with a steady hand and takes a longer time to get the preferred look!!

Makeup Revolution Flawless 4 Eye shadow Palette £8-

This palette is probably my favorite palette I’ve ever brought because it matches my style of makeup so well!! As you may be able to tell the Red in the palette is nearly gone and I use this palette almost daily (If I’m feeling lazy and don’t want to switch up my makeup a bit!!) Usually, I will run some of the lighter base shades through my crease to create a base and then I will go in with the red shade and run this gently through my crease and keep building up the intensity and then I will go in with the second color and top row on the rest of my eyes to create a kind of gradient from the red to the white shimmer, I will also place that same white shimmer in my inner corner to finish off the look completely. I may be using this palette in my Valentine’s day makeup look so stay tuned for that!!

Essence Liquid Eyeliner £2.50 & Essence Pencil Liner £1-

I go through eyeliner like crazy and I am always needing to go buy new ones, both of these eyeliner’s are so affordable and doesn’t break a whole in my bank balance, which is always a plus as a student!! On a daily basis, I will always apply eyeliner just to make myself look more awake and always have a cat-eye, I just feel that’s what looks best on my eye shape. I put the pencil eye liner on my bottom lash line just so it corresponds with the eyeliner and brings my makeup together. they are both so affordable, under £3 which you can’t go wrong with!!

Primark Amplif-eyed Mascara £2-

Mascara is one of them makeup products that I go through in seconds and its been my first makeup product that I’ve ever used. This Primark mascara from the PS range is amazing, it gives you so much volume so if you’re not really into that, this isn’t really for you, it does give some length too!! It is a very thick mascara and the wand allows it to coat all of the lashes and create a fake eyelash effect!!

MUA luxe Velvet Lip lacquer Tranquility £3-

Finally, the last thing that I do to my face is apply lipstick, it is always the best feeling once applying lipstick and seeing the makeup looking put together!! The shade Tranquility is such an easy everyday shade as it is a brown-pink nude and looks perfect with any makeup look!! I go through stages where I constantly just use a nude lipstick but other times I use Reds and more adventurous colors which is always fun!! I feel as though makeup is always fun to play around with and there are endless ways and looks that can be made!!
