Hey everyone, I hope your all doing well, thank you for clicking on this blog post x
Today I am back with another makeup inspired blog post but this makeup look is based upon one thing, my glasses. A few months ago I got prescribed with glasses and I immediately got so excited to how I was going to style these with my makeup and my outfits but then I realised you won’t be able to see half my makeup when wearing glasses. So the first day that I got back from getting my glasses, I had a little play around with different makeup looks to see which best suits. This is a very simple makeup look because I didn’t go very heavy on the eye shadow just because it won’t be as noticeable and if there is any opportunity to save money, then I sure will. I normally don’t have to wear my glasses all the time but whenever I go into university, I always make sure I do so this is the makeup look that I will mostly go for. This makeup look is also featuring the Soph x Makeup Revolution palette which has soon become one of my favourites, so lets get straight into it!!
I hope you enjoy!
As you’ve seen if you’ve seen any of my other makeup looks (if not go check them out, the first thing that I will do is use my Simple kind to skin moisturiser all over my face and neck to moisturise my face and to create a smooth base and get rid of any dry patches which I may have (I have very dry skin in the colder months). The first thing that I will go in with is my Rimmel foundation and place a light layer on to my face creating a medium coverage, I will then go in with the Collection lasting perfection in shade 1 on my blemishes and under my eyes and any red patches on my face, I either blend in my concealer with a small flat top brush or when I’m in a rush, I just use my fingers because it is super quick and easy. After I’ve blended all of this in, I will go in and use my Makeup Revolution pressed powder using the sponge that it comes with and gently apply this to my face, once I have done that, I will use a blending brush and wipe around my face to make sure that is all blended it and there are no dry patches on my skin. I will then take my collection contour and highlight kit and use that contour shade and place it on my cheek bones and my forehead just so I can create that dimension and to give me a bit of colour because I’m very pale. Finally for my base, highlighter, I will apply this to the top of my cheek bones and along my nose and Cupid’s bow which is what I normally do.
After doing all that, I will then go in and do my eyebrows and my eye shadow, to do my eyebrows I went in and used my Freedom duo powder in shade dark brown to fill in my eyebrows creating an arch first and then lightly filling in the front of them. when wearing glasses, I think the main focus on the face is the eyebrows as they are so close to the glasses so if you wear glasses, I think you should take that little bit of time to fill them in really nice and if you want to, use concealer to clean them up.
Now I will go in with the fun part, the eye shadow. To do this I will be using my Soph x Makeup Revolution palette and create a really basic eye shadow look. I say basic only because when I’m wearing my glasses, I don’t really like to spend as much time doing my eye shadow when its only going to be covered up by my glasses. using an eye blending brush, I will firstly take the shade Pancakes as a starting transition shade and place that only through my crease. Next I will mix together Iced Coffee and Cuppa tea and place this all over my lid and my lower lash line. I then took Pug and Rosewood and focused this in my crease to darken up the eye the tiniest bit and also placed this on my bottom lash line to create that dimension, and that is all I do for my eye shadow, it may be very simple but it really does make a difference and makes your eyes stand out that bit more. I will then go in with the same eyeliner and mascara that I normally use and then that’s the eyes done.
For this look, I just an MUA matte lipstick in the shade Frawn Fancy and put this all over my lips, it’s a very nice pink/nude shade and looks perfect for this makeup look, and that’s the finished look.
