Hey everyone, I hope you’re all doing well and welcome to my blog.
First of all, I’d just like to apologise for my absence on my blog recently, I don’t think I’ve posted on here for over 2 weeks and that’s completely mad. I’ve literally had no time to sit down and write any blog posts recently as I’ve had loadsss of assignments due in and 2 exams at university and all of it got so stressful so I decided to take a few weeks off from blogging and purely concentrate on my university work but I had my last exam Tuesday so now I can come back to blogging, finally!! It’s crazy that I’ve finished my first year of university, It’s gone so fast!! If you’d like to see a Q&A of my first year of university, feel free to leave a comment down below with any questions you would like answering and I will be sure to write a blog post on it!! I’d just like to say a massive thank you to all the continuous support on both my blog and over on my social media’s, it means the absolute world to me!! I really hope you enjoy this blog post and like always, if you do, go give this blog post a like and comment down below any more Primark makeup you would like me to test out or any other brands!!
Now lets get down to the real reason your here, in today’s blog post I am going to be testing out some new Primark makeup that I have accumulated over the past few weeks, I was really curious to test out the 60p eye shadow singles as I didn’t really know what the pigmentation would be like with these and was really eager to know how well they blend and work on the eye. I didn’t purchase enough to do a full face, I hope that’s okay!! The first product I am going to talk about is the eye shadow’s, I brought a set of 4 so I could really give them a test, the shades are in: sunbeam, firecracker, doll house and opal which I think are really cute names!! Using my eye blending brush from Makeup Revolution, I used the shade Firecracker and placed it all over my lid and oh my, it was beautiful and was so pigmented, I really didn’t expect it to be as pigmented as it was for the price but it was so pigmented! As you can see from the swatches on my hands their so pigmented and the purple shades are beautiful, for this look, I only decided to use the orange shade on its own as I felt it looked good on its own. On a negative note to these eye shadows, I would say their a little chalky but that doesn’t show up on the eyes, it is just really chalky in the pan and if their only 60p each, theirs nothing really you can complain about. If you were feeling a bit spectacle about purchasing these and didn’t know if they would be any good for the price, I can tell you that you’re wrong and you should definitely go purchase some, I’m debating going to get some more!!
Next up I’ve had this item for quite a while as I saw it on sale and surprisingly they had my shade which was really surprising and that is the PS…PRO long wear mineralized foundation in the shade 00…Porcelain, this product has really nice packaging and looks very professional, the bottle is made out of glass and doesn’t look cheap at all, the colour looks really good and matches my skin tone perfectly, the lid makes it look even more professional and I really like that it has a pump because it is easy to get product out. What I like about this foundation is that it claims to have vitamin A and E and has SPF 15 meaning it claims it is also good for the skin which is really interesting to me. Now lets get onto the initial testing, using my blending brush from Makeup Revolution I placed little pumps of this on my face and blended it in, this foundation doesn’t claim to have a certain coverage so I couldn’t test it on closeness to the claim but from first impressions, I would say this has a light-medium coverage which could be build-able, I have quite a lot of freckles and blemishes on my face and I was still able to see these through the foundation which I kind of liked! I’m not 100% sure if this foundation is still being sold and if not, I apologise as it was in the sale, I would really recommend this to anyone who is looking for a light-medium coverage foundation for the summer.
I also decided to purchase a concealer as I am always on the look out for new concealers as I have very blemished skin so if theirs anything to cover them up, then I will, I got mine in the lightest shade which is even too dark for me which I don’t understand but oh well! There is a wide range of shades available also which is really good because most brands don’t have a big colour selection but Primark does! On first impressions of the applicator, it is in a weird shape, kind of like a scalpel type shape making it really hard to place under the eyes and it feels really tough! As I’ve said, the colour was the tiniest bit too dark for my skin but nothing I couldn’t deal with. When blending, I could tell that it was really smooth and almost felt moisturising on the skin but it was clear that there wasn’t as much coverage as I would have hoped, in comparison to the collection concealer, there was hardly any coverage but for summer, when looking for a light coverage, I think this concealer would be perfect as it feels really moisturising under the eyes too!!
One of the most important things to my makeup routine is my eyebrows, I am always on the hunt looking for new eye shadow products and I found this one in Primark. I found an eyebrow product which has a pencil, powder and a spouly (idk how to spell it) which is really good because then I don’t have to use 2 products at the same time making it so much easier and the best thing about it is that it was only £2. From a first impression, this product was really good for carving out my eyebrow shape using the pencil and then using the powder to fill in the rest of my brows making them look a lot more natural. I would recommend this to anyone looking for the perfect eyebrow pencil and I think, don’t quote me on this but I think there are 3 shades which is amazing!! I really recommend buying.
Lastly, I brought quite a few lipsticks recently so obviously I didn’t test them all, so I chose one of my favourites and it was a nude shade which is perfect for them days when I don’t really want to wear any makeup, this lipstick is really pigmented and the perfect nude. I would recommend these lipsticks to anyone and I think they were only £1.50 which is such a steal!! That’s all I have to talk about today, I really hoped you enjoyed this blog post!!
