Hey everyone, I hope you’re all doing well and welcome to my blog, I’d just like to apologise for not uploading for the past week, I’ve been really busy recently and been trying to have a short break before I get into blogging properly again. I’ve decided to not have an upload schedule as I don’t want to rush blog posts and just upload them when I think their perfect. Today’s blog post is going to be all about my trip to going to London the other week and explaining my day out. For bank holiday, I wanted to do something and go somewhere and I thought what better place than to go to London. As I’ve mentioned quite a lot over on my twitter that I’ve wanted to go to London for a while (as I’ve never been to London before, yes a shocker)
Similar to my other blog posts, my boyfriend came with me on this day out and it was so lovely of him to take all the photos of me for me, if you are interested in seeing the bulk of my images from the trip to London and all my other images, check out my Instagram, I’ve just recently reached 300 followers on there and that means so much to me!! (my Instagram is chlolaurennnxox btw) The train tickets were quite cheap compared to other train tickets that I have looked at previously for London, the only difference was that the train ticket was for a very off peak time for like 8AM so it was very easy but it was really worth it! On the train I just did my makeup as I didn’t have enough time before leaving and I did try reading a book but then I couldn’t be bothered honestly.
My outfit for the day was a denim dress from Primark which was only £12 and my black vans as per usual. We were so lucky with the weather when we went to London, it was honestly beautiful and it was so warm.
We got into London at around 10:45 and the first thing we did was go and get one of them tickets where you can go on the underground, I was quite anxious about going on the underground because I thought it would be really busy but to my suprise, it was so much more easier than I thought it would be. The first place we headed off to is Oxford street and the first shop I saw is Bershka and I basically ran to it, I’ve been looking for some perfect Mom jeans but I couldn’t find any but I did find a really nice slogan top which had the quote of “snacks and naps” which I feel is so accurate to me. We didn’t go in many other shops, we just went into some that we felt we wanted to go into when passing as we were also going to go to West field so I thought I would do the bulk of my shopping while I’m there (I was completely wrong, that’s another story)
We then started to walk down to Piccadilly Circus and it was absolutely beautiful and I just wanted to sit here for hours. All the buildings were so pretty and I really wanted to take loads of images which obviously I couldn’t because my phone would have died.
We then took the underground back to Oxford street as I needed to quickly pop into Primark as I needed to buy some sunglasses and also needed to get some shorts and sun-cream because I didn’t want to get burnt (even though I got burnt so much). We then made our way back down to Piccadilly Circus again and we walked along the road to the entrance of Buckingham palace which I’m going to be honest is that I was most excited about. Every body in London were so nice and as we were walking down the road, it was so pieceful and this one man was so nice, he offered to take a photo of me and my boyfriend because he could see we were trying to get a nice photo.
Once we’d made it to the end of the road and next to Buckingham palace, which was so beautiful and unbelievable but far from what I expected, I felt like such a tourist on this trip, even though London is in the UK. We took so many photos here and I love each and every one of them, We then walked back through the park that’s next to Buckingham palace and decided to have a sit down as we’d been walking for a while and we had to decide what we were going to do next.
It was such an overwhelming feeling trying to plan the day out and how were going to see everything in just a small amount of time. We did then decide to walk down to the London eye which I was most excited about as I’ve seen so many people go there and it just looks beautiful. We walked past Downing St but you couldn’t really see anything because obviously it was all fenced up and you couldn’t get in. Once we got to the London eye etc, I was so overwhelmed and surprised as I’ve wanted to come to London for a while and it came to such a surprise that I was actually here finally. The view of the London eye was beautiful and I really wanted to go to the other side but we had no time as we was planning to go to West field and it was already 4PM and our train was at 8PM.
As we were heading down to the underground, I started to get really hungry as we both hadn’t eaten this day as we were both really excited so we decided to try find somewhere to have some food which wasn’t too expensive. We both decided upon Pizza in the end and after eating this, I felt so much better!
We then go on the underground on our way to West Field and I was very conscious of not having enough time to shop or go in the shops I’d wanted to. We got there at around half 6 so we only had round 45 minutes to have a look round so unfortunately I didn’t buy anything. We left at around quarter past 7 and we had such a mad rush back to Euston as the underground was delayed and we had to get on two underground trains to get back, thankfully we did make it on time which felt so good, The train journey was around 2 and a half hours which felt so good as we hadn’t really had time to fully sit down and chill.
I’d just like to say, thank you so much for reading, I am already planning my next day out to London as we didn’t have time to do everything we would have liked, I’d love to go to West Field again just to have a big shopping spree so maybe on my birthday and I also want to see all the sights again and go on a bus tour, they seem so fun!! I’d love to go here more in the summer definitely.
