4 fitness tips|Start a healthy lifestyle

Hey everyone, I hope you’re all doing well and having a lovely week, welcome to my blog or if you’ve been here before welcome back. Today I am back with something a little different on my blog and that is a fitness post, over the past few months, I have been loving health and fitness and I want to talk about the things I love on my blog so I’ve now dedicated a day to talk about fitness and health. In today’s blog post I am going to be giving you 5 easy tips for improving your fitness levels and starting a healthy lifestyle. The reason why I decided I wanted to become more fit and have a healthier lifestyle is because I could see myself putting on weight very quickly and I didn’t like the way I looked so I decided to make a lifestyle change and I wouldn’t look back now. I do understand the mentioning of food or anything weight related can be triggering for some individuals and no means am I putting this up to trigger anyone so if you feel this will be triggering, don’t read this and check out some of my other blog posts that you may be interested in, In no way am I telling you to live a healthier lifestyle either but I just wanted to give my tips on how to start a healthier lifestyle and overall how this has benefited my lifestyle. With all that being said, lets get straight into this post, if you enjoy, make sure to give this a like and comment and for more, follow my blog, not every Friday’s upload will be based on fitness, I will be talking about lifestyle also.

Write down some goals and a time duration you want to achieve these in-

When I first decided I wanted to live a healthier lifestyle to in turn lose weight, I wrote down some goals in which I wanted to achieve in say 6 months. I started this around 3 months ago and I have made dramatic improvement already. It is important to be realistic though which I must admit, I wasn’t at the start. At the start I made sure to have my 5 a day each day and go to the gym everyday and didn’t have a routine and expected to see dramatic results instantly which I have learnt, just doesn’t happen. A goal for example could be to have at least your 5 a day everyday or one of mine was to start working out more either going to the gym or going for more walks.

Having goals will give you that motivation each day of what you want to achieve because like everything else, there will be set backs and that’s the time you need to pull through. Goals will also help you to see progress along the way, whether that’s a new weigh in each week or learning to cook a healthy meal, this will help you to see progress and keeps you motivated also.

Make healthier choices-

Re-organise your food cupboards and freezer and get rid of any fatty foods and introduce some healthier choices into your diet. Before starting this lifestyle, I must admit, I never used to have any of my 5 a day and I’d never tried any of the fruit and vegetables I have now, my body feels so much better for it now.

In relation to my diet, I decided to go pollo vegetarian which if you didn’t know is where you only eat chicken and this has helped so much also. I have also cut out all dairy in my diet because I am lactose intolerant so this has become harder to decide what meals i’m going to have etc. I’m not suggesting to change your diet or to become vegetarian or vegan, I’m just explaining my experience also. I would also recommend food planning for the first few weeks just so you can learn recipes and different styles of food. See this as an adventure, try different foods you haven’t had before and eat completely different, make it fun!

Start exercising and moving-

Exercising and moving is a great way to start a healthier lifestyle, ever since I started exercising and moving more, I have felt way more energised and awake. This also helps to boost your metabolism so if your like me and looking to lose weight, I would really recommend it, you don’t need to go to the gym to do exercise, there are so many at home workouts you can do, some at home workouts I would really recommend are these 7 minute intense workouts which really make a difference, after the 7 minutes is up, I sweat 10x more than when I come out the gym having done an hour, 7 Minute exercises or you can even go for a walk which to me, on a warm day, going for a walk sounds way more advertising than going to the gym.

Stick to it and don’t give up-

It is important to never give up and the easiest way of doing this is coming up with a plan, if you decide to go to the gym, come up with a schedule of the times you are going to go each day and what place you are going to focus on that day i.e arms or legs. An easier way to eat healthier is to make a meal plan at the start of the week so you have an idea of what you are going to eat so you don’t just get something random out of the fridge. If you don’t believe you can do it, they YOU CAN and always remember to believe in yourself and you will start to see huge improvements.
