Hey everyone, I hope you’re all doing well and I hope you have a lovely week. Today I am back with Makeup Monday and I am going to show you how to achieve this makeup look, primarily focusing on the eyes. Today I thought I would show you how to easily incorporate bright eye shadow into your everyday makeup without it looking to bold and in your face. I am using a drugstore palette which is really affordable and very pigmented. With this look I have mixed bright colours mainly pink with a hint of orange. If your interested in how I did this, just keep reading. If you enjoy this blog post and would like to see more from me, check out my other blog posts and follow for more. Lets get straight into the tutorial.
Firstly I will make sure to use a moisturiser, the one I am using today is SPF moisturiser as I have very pale skin and I get burnt very very easily so I have to keep protected. The first product I will go in with the Collection Lasting Perfection in Shade 1 along with the Ps Pro Concealer in shade 1 on my blemishes and under my eyes and any red patches on my face, I either blend in my concealer with a small flat top brush or when I’m in a rush, I just use my fingers because it is super quick and easy. After I’ve blended all of this in, I will go in and use my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Translucent using a fluffy brush and gently apply this to my face to give my face a matte finish. I will then take my Collection Contour and Highlight Kit and use that contour shade and place it on my cheek bones and my forehead just so I can create that dimension and to give me a bit of colour because I’m very pale. Finally for my base, highlighter, I will use a Freedom highlighter where the shade name has rubbed off and apply this to the top of my cheek bones and along my nose and Cupid’s bow which is what I normally do.
After my base makeup is complete, I will then go in and do my eyebrows which are the most important part of makeup besides eye shadow. As I am very fair skinned, my eyebrows are very light and very blonde so I have to fill them in to be able to see them. Today I am going to be using my trusty RevolutionPro Brow Pomade in dark Brown firstly I will stencil around my brows to get the perfect brow shape and then I will gently fill in the middle of my brows and this creates the perfect look, I do tend to spend a bit of time on my brows as I want them to look perfect.
For my eye shadow today, which is the star of the show, I am going to be using two palettes, the first one being my MUA pro in shade Vixen and an orange eye shadow from the PS range in Primark. Seeing as these palettes don’t have names, I will insert an image and place a dot on all the shades that were used in this eye look. I will firstly go in with the lightest shade from the MUA palette and place this through my crease to create a base, I will then take the light pink shade and place this through my crease as a transition shade and to help build up the colour. Using the darkest and brightest pink shade, I will run this through my crease and mainly all over my lid and lower lash line as the main colour. Going in with the PS palette, which may I say the eye shadow’s were 60p each, yes 60p, I took the orange shade and placed this all over my lid and blend this in with the pink. Using a hint of the yellow shade, I placed this over the orange shade to make it brighter. As for my eyeliner, I will use a Collection eyeliner to create a thin line on my eye and then I will create a small flick at the end. Using my trusty Primark Mascara I place a couple layers of this onto my eyelashes to make them look longer. I’m on the hunt for a new affordable Mascara so if you have any suggestions, I’d love to know.
Finally, my lip shade, I recently purchased a matte liquid lipstick from Essence and now I use it almost daily, its very subtle but is also very fun, especially for everyday summer wear, This lipstick is also very pigmented. Its in the shade 02- approved. And that’s my finished makeup look, I hope you got some inspiration on the makeup you are going to be wearing throughout the summer.
