Hey everyone, I hope you’re all doing well and welcome to my blog. I am back today with an extra post this week, if your not caught up with the past week of posts, go check them out but today, seeing as its the last day of June, I thought I would round up the month with my monthly favourites and if you want this to be a re-occurring thing each month, let me know in the comments below, also I’d be interested in knowing your favourites so let me know in the comments what your favourite thing has been this month. My monthly favourites range from beauty to fashion and some extra things in the mix. Lets get straight in with the post, I hope you enjoy, if you do, give this post a like and a comment and if you are interested in seeing more blog posts from me, give my blog a follow, I’m only 8 followers away from 150 so your help would mean the world to me.
June has been a very good month for me, I’ve moved back home from university for the summer and I’ve also sent off my application for my passport which will hopefully come before my birthday. My first favourite of the month has got to be sending off my passport (lets just imagine I have my passport already and is one of my favourites) If you haven’t read any of my blog posts before, you may or may not know that I’ve never been abroad and getting a passport is a very big thing for me, I’d been putting off sending the application for a while now but in the later period of this month, I sent it off and now it is in the process of delivery. I’ve wanted a passport for as long as I can remember and one of my main goals in life is to travel and knowing I can go abroad this year, hopefully a couple times at a push is very overwhelming and exciting and I feel it opens a lot of doors for me and I will be so much happier so that is why getting a passport is one of my favourites this month.
Starting off with one of my beauty favourites, the Soph Extra Spice palette, I only got this a week ago but it has soon became one of my favourite palettes I’ve ever owned. All the colours are right up my street and I can create every day looks using this palette along with some out there looks. I’m not going to ramble on too much about this palette because only yesterday I uploaded my top 5 beauty products and that was featured in there and I explained why it was my favourite a bit more in detail on there if you’d like to check it out.
My next favourite is the Strawberry scented mini products from the Body shop. Since I was a child, I was obsessed with the taste and scent of calpol the medicine (to the point I had to go to hospital as a child because I’d drank the whole bottle oops) and around Christmas this women was letting people test out this hand cream which was Strawberry scented which literally smells so much like calpol and I was immediately hooked. I purchased the hand cream, the body butter and a lip butter and they all smell absolutely amazing. Since now the sun has been out, my hands have became really dry so I’ve been using the hand cream quite regularly and to me it just smells so summery too. I love the fact that the Body shop are Cruelty Free, I’m in the process of becoming fully vegan and knowing there are products this good that are Cruelty free really does make it easier and I love that more brands are slowly becoming cruelty free, also if you haven’t already signed there petition over on there website or in store, please go and do it right now because you will help stop animal testing and it would mean a lot of me if you could do it.
In terms of clothing, I have brought quite a lot of clothing pieces of the past month but I have narrowed it down to three of my favourite pieces. Firstly, my yellow denim jacket. I’ve been on the hunt for a yellow denim jacket for a while now and I was looking online and they were all like £30 or more and I wasn’t really going to pay that much for one till I went into Primark and saw one for £15 and it was exactly what I was looking for. So if your looking for a yellow denim jacket, go have a look in Primark. What I really like about this jacket is that it can really brighten up an outfit, say if I was wearing an all black outfit and I wanted to add a bit of colour, I could wear this yellow jacket and it would be perfect. It is also cropped so it is very flattering and its absolutely perfect for summer and I feel I will get so much use out of it over the next few months.
My next clothing favourite of this month is a yellow polka dot dress that I got in the sale from ISAWITFIRST, I think it only came to £3.50 and that’s amazing. I was planning on selling this dress when I first brought it because it seemed to short for me and it didn’t flatter my body shape at all but since I’ve lost a little bit of weight, it fits really nicely and it looks sooo flattering on my body, I added cycle shorts underneath just for extra protection which is my next favourite. The yellow is that perfect colour and it looks so beautiful when the sun is out, I can’t wait to be able to wear this on holiday abroad or something, it looks so flattering. My last fashion favourite is cycle shorts, I know these have been a current trend but I’ve only just hopped on and I am in love with them. I have really big thighs so I needed something long enough to go under dresses that covered up the areas that rubbed and I’ve been wearing them with oversized tshirt’s, I didn’t expect them to look so flattering but they really do and I really want to get some more in different colours.
A random favourite this month has got to be Pride month, I’m bisexual and pansexual and looking at all the support there has been through this month has been so overwhelming and it makes me so happy how I am apart of such a great community. For a few years I’ve been worried what people would think and say about my sexuality but having pride month, it helps me to express myself and I’m planning on going to Manchester Pride in August and I am so excited. Seeing everyone come together on social media’s especially twitter over the past month has been amazing.
Last but not least, my last favourite has got to be blogging. This month I started up my blog fully again and it has been so much fun and I have progressed so much this month, it has been amazing. I had a month break over exam season etc but I promised myself at the start of June I would start of my blog again and try really hard with it which has paid off, I’ve gained so many new followers on both here and all my other social media accounts and one of my biggest achievements this month has got to be hitting 1,000 views on just one of my blog posts, I’m so happy and I don’t know how I’ve done it but I’m so happy I have and it has gave me so much motivation to progress with my blog and make it grow.
Their all my monthly favourites, my main goal for July is to keep progressing with my blog and to become fully vegan, also July is my birthday month so look out for some really good blog posts coming up.
