Hey everyone, I hope your all doing well and welcome to my blog! Today I am back with another one of these blog posts, I am going to be telling you my top 5 fashion pieces this summer, last week I uploaded my top 5 summer beauty products so if you’d like to check that out first, here’s the link. I’ve been purchasing quite a few new pieces recently which I’ve come to love, purchasing new clothes is probably my favourite thing to do because it makes me feel more confident and that’s always a good thing. Let me know in the comments what your favourite fashion piece is at the moment, because I’d love to interact with my followers more! I hope you enjoy this blog post, if you do, give it a like and a comment and if your interested in seeing more from me, give my blog a follow, my goal is to reach 200 followers by my birthday!
Yellow polka dot dress
This has soon become one of my favourite summer dresses this year, when I first tried it on, I didn’t like it much because of how low the v-neck was on the breast area but then I realised I could use a pin to place it together and then I completely loved it. I love the colour of this dress because it isn’t a vibrant yellow, its more of a muted colour so it isn’t in your face, its the perfect length and since its been really warm recently, this is the perfect dress to wear on an everyday basis and you won’t get too warm. I think I only paid £4 for this dress, it was in the sale on ISAWITFIRST, you should definitely check out their sale, because they have some great pieces available.
Blue wrap floral dress
I am absolutely in love with this dress, I was sent this by a brand (not sponsored) and its beautiful, I didn’t know if it would suit me or be flattering on my body type but it really is. I love the colour because I don’t own anything navy so this was different for me. I love the floral pattern all over the dress, it really makes it stand out and that’s what I love about it. It has a flattering neck line, it goes down in a v which is a really nice touch, especially for people who have quite big boobs like me, this neckline really flatters them. I also love how flattering the bottom of this dress is, it does up in a v shape which I feel is soooo flattering on the legs, overall i’m going to be wearing this dress so much over the summer. I also have a thing for wrap dresses at the moment so this dress is perfect and so easy to get on!!
Biker shorts were a huge trend a few months ago which I didn’t follow because I didn’t really find them that flattering till I tried them. As I am a thicc girl and my thighs are quite big, which I’m trying to work on, in this heat they will rub together and be really painful so what I like about biker shorts are that their long enough to cover my thighs but also short enough to go under everything, especially dresses and skirts. I have tended to wear them alone also with an oversized t-shirt which is an outfit I really like. If your looking for some really basic black ones, they sell them in Primark for only £2!! I’m planning on going to get more because I’ve literally worn my current biker shorts to death already! I’ve also ordered some in different colours so I can wear them with everything which really excites me. I would really recommend these to anyone in the summer, their such an easy basis that you can literally wear with anything.
Burgundy wrap waist button down skirt
I’ve been looking for the perfect skirt that isn’t bodycon because I’m very self conscious at the moment and I found this one in Primark, it was only £10 which is so affordable. It is the perfect length especially for putting biker shorts underneath which is perfect. It is also super flattering which I really like, the tie waist makes your waist look smaller so it is super flattering on the stomach, the button down detail is an amazing touch because it makes the skirt look so much more expensive. I love the colour because its very versitile, its the perfect colour for the summer but also a dark enough red so I can also wear it in Autumn and winter which is perfect because I can wear it all throughout the year.
The only tops I’ve been wearing recently have been bandeau tops, I have built quite the collection, I have one in black, orange, red, pink and white. At first, I purchased the black one and I never thought I’d find them flattering or be confident enough to show off my arms but I came to love them. I also like the fact that their bodysuits, I am very self conscious of my stomach so having a bodysuit is amazing because it covers up my stomach and doesn’t roll up. These are perfect for the summer because you can over up but you can also have your arms and shoulders out so you don’t get too warm in them. They are all super affordable too, on Forever 21, I got the white and red ones for only £3.50 which are amazing quality and have buttons on the bottom which makes it soooo much easier to go to the toilet but also I got the black, orange and pink ones from boohoo which don’t have buttons but their super flattering and their only £6, so their a super basic piece to have. And their all my top 5 pieces, I really hope you enjoyed the read and thank you so much for reading, until next time x
