Makeup Look Using The Soph x Extra Spice Palette and First impressions

Hey everyone, I hope you’re all doing well and welcome to my blog. So today, I am going to show you a makeup look using the Soph x extra spice spice with something a little extra, I am going to be showing you my first impressions of some products. I have picked up some new makeup recently so I thought I would use them in this look also. I don’t have a new product for everything but I will just quickly run through these. I have purchased all the new makeup on Superdrug online but I’m sure you will be able to find them in store. I’ve had the soph x palette for a couple weeks now and its absolutely perfect, you can make so many eye looks using this but the one I am going to show you is my favourite. I hope you enjoy this post, if you do, make sure to give it a like and a comment, if you want to see more from me, make sure to follow my blog for more.

First things first, I am going to go in and use a moisturiser, the one I’ve been using recently is the Simple Kind to skin SPF 30 moisturiser, this is so good for protecting my face from the sun and it creates a barrier from the makeup and my skin from getting burnt. I have become very interested in skincare over the past few months and I have been experimenting with different SPF moisturisers and this one has by far got to be my favourite. I will put this on both my face and my neck to protect them both from the sun. Applying moisturiser before makeup also makes it so much easier to apply makeup, it feels like it just glides on and creates the perfect base.

Next I will go in and use my Collection Lasting perfect concealer in shade 0 extra fair, this is my all time favourite concealer, what I like so much about it is that it doesn’t leave orange patches over my face and it is light enough to highlight under my eyes which most concealers are too dark to do. I’ve always struggled with trying to find the perfect concealer for my skin because I’m very pale so all the concealers I’ve recently tried have been too dark. I was so happy when collection brought out there lighter range because then I could purchase the perfect shade. I apply this under my eyes and on any blemishes or red patches around my face, using a small flat top brush I will blend this in, I find this so much easier than using my fingers because it blends the concealer out more and covers more of my face compared to using my fingers where it only blends out in one spot.

I will then go in with my Rimmel Stay Matte powder, There was so much hype of this product on YouTube a few years ago but I never thought that I should go out and purchase it and being as good as people claimed. This powder is amazing for making your face matte as it claims and it doesn’t take a lot of product to make your face matte. If your looking for a really affordable powder, I would check this one out. I just used a big fluffy brush and applied this to my face concentrating on my t-zone and forehead. I then went in with my normal contour and highlight palette from Freedom to bring some colour and dimension back to my face, I won’t talk too much about this because I’ve talked a lot about it in previous posts and its not a first impression. I applied both of these products to the normal points of my face along with running the contour down my neck because I’ve been fake tanning recently.

For eyebrows, I wen’t in and used my Revolution Pro brow pomade in shade medium brown. When they discontinued the Freedom one, I was really upset because it worked so well on my brows so I was eager to test out the Revolution Pro one and it is exactly the same. Using an angled brush, I used the pomade to stencil out the shape of my brows and then using less product, I filled in the rest of my brows.

Now for the part you’ve probably all been waiting for, the eye look using the soph x extra spice palette. This is such a beautiful palette and there is so much variety with this palette, you can create so many beautiful looks. When I first looked at the palette, the first thing that came to mind was a sunset eye look. The first shade I went in with was cookie dough, I used this through my crease to create a base. I then went in with running late to create the base colour, this is a really good colour to create the dimension for a sunset. I then went in with sweet n sour to deepen up the shade. Next up I went in with the shade vitamin C and put this all over my lid. Next up I went in with the shade twenty one to create the perfect colour of a sunset, I also ran the same shade on my lower lash line.

I then went in with a new eyeliner favourite of mine, the Miss Sporty cat eye liner. What I love about this is that it is super black and it doesn’t smudge on the eye like some eyeliners do. Using the eyeliner, I drew a thin line over my eye and then I made a cat eye at the end, not to big. I then went in with my Kohl eyeliner from Miss sporty which I also love and run that on my lower lash line, I love the effect this makes because it brings the eye look together and it brings more dimension to the eye. Second to last is mascara, I’ve recently brought one from Miss Sporty again and it is so good, I apply a few coats to the lashes which makes my eyelashes look so much longer and fuller, I will then apply this to my lower lashes.

For lips, I went in with a new lip favourite of mine and that’s the MUA matte velvet luxe liquid lip in shade Harmony, this is a lovely nude shade perfect for the summer. It lasts so well on the lips, I applied it to my lips around 9 in the morning and it was still on my lips at around 7 at night, how amazing is that, and the best thing about it is that their only £3 so I’ll be definitely go and get more. And that’s the completed look, let me know in the comments what you thought of the eye look and until then, thank you for reading x
