Hey everyone, welcome back to Blogmas day 3, if you haven’t already, head over to my blog to have a read of both blogmas day 1 and 2, I’ve uploaded some really good post’s so far. As you can tell by the title, I’m going to be naming the Christmas classics everyone should watch.
Nothing feels quite like Christmas as sitting on the sofa wrapped up in a dressing gown and watching some Christmas films with the family so I thought this would be the perfect post to include in Blogmas. Anyhoo, let’s get straight on with it.
Nightmare before Christmas- I know what you’re all thinking, Nightmare before Christmas? I know everyone has different perspectives of the film but I think this classic can be watched both Halloween and Christmas, in my case, all year round. This film is based just after Halloween so technically, It’s a Christmas film right? Nevertheless, this is a great film to watch for all the family which always get’s me into the Christmas spirit.
Arthur Christmas- This is a film I could watch over and over again because I’m in love with it. It’s definitely a family friendly type of film and is definitely heart warming. This film only came out a few years ago but it is definitely a classic in my book, I couldn’t have a Christmas without at least watching Arthur Christmas 3 times.
Elf- A classic everyone absolutely loves, including myself, this is definitely one of those films I get excited to watch when it comes round to the Christmas season, this is one of those films anyone of any age could laugh out and it never get’s old. Elf is just the cutest right?
The Grinch- How could I write this list without mentioning the Grinch? When I was young I never really liked watching the Grinch but now I’m older, I can’t go a Christmas without watching it.
Love Actually- Ahhh, I’m obsessed with this film, I can’t lie, I watched this at the start of October and I definitely wasn’t mad about it. This is definitely a classic everyone should watch, it’s such a heartwarming film and definitely puts me in a Christmas spirit, this is probably more appropriate for women but I’ll definitely be dragging my boyfriend to watch it with me.
The Snowman- Is it Christmas without watching the Snowman? And the Snowman and the snow dog? I know both of these come on the TV on Christmas Eve so I try and restrict myself from watching them till then because it makes it so much more special and get’s me so excited. These are definitely films you need to watch if you haven’t already, if you haven’t, where have you been?
The Holiday- This was a film that I only discovered a few years ago but it has definitely been added to the list of classics that I’ll make sure to watch each year.
Jack Frost- Caution: you will honestly cry throughout the whole film, this is such a sad but meaningful film, so full of emotion and definitely shows the true meaning of Christmas, I won’t go a Christmas without watching it but the sadness never goes away, you will definitely need some tissues while watching this.
These are my suggestions of the classics you need to watch this Christmas, I know there are so many more but I’ve narrowed it down to my favourite’s.
Let me know in the comment’s what your favourite Christmas film to watch is, I’d love to watch some new ones.
Thank you for reading,
