Hey everyone and welcome back to blogmas day 14, there’s only 11 days to go, I’m so excited. In today’s post I’m going to be showing you my Christmas day makeup look, when it comes to Christmas, this is definitely something I get excited about, the red lip, the glitter on the eyes, yes. This makeup look doesn’t only apply for Christmas day, you could also wear it to a Christmas party which would look amazing. Let’s get straight into it.
Foundation; The one I’ve been using is the Rimmel Match Perfection in shade Light Porcelain. I used to be obsessed with this foundation a few year’s ago and I’m so excited to have it back in my everyday makeup routine. I apply this using a flat top brush as this makes the Foundation look flawless upon the skin. This foundation works perfectly for this look as it leaves the skin looking flawless which is definitely something I want from a foundation.
Concealer; The concealer I’m using for this look is the Revolution Pro Full coverage Camouflage concealer in shade C1, I’ve been loving this concealer at the moment as you only need the tiniest bit and it goes a long way, it’s definitely full coverage which I love, it covers up my bags under my eyes from the late nights at university. I apply this to any blemishes and to my under eyes and rub it in using my finger as this is the easiest.
Powder; Back to an old favourite of mine that I’ve gone through many of these in the past, The Revolution pressed powder. Out of all the powder’s I’ve tried in the past, I feel like this one give’s me the most coverage and that’s definitely something I look for in a powder. I apply this all around my face to make it as matte as possible, I will use the applicator that comes with it. For this look I want my skin to look matte and this works perfectly.
Contour & Highlight; A personal favourite of mine is the Revolution contour and highlight palette, this is because it is so compact and so easy for travelling. In the winter I love to pack on the contour which makes the look, I will also apply a some highlighter to my cheekbones and along my nose, you can’t say it’s a Christmas makeup tutorial if you don’t pack on the highlighter and look like a ball ball.
Brows; A product I’ve been using on my brows for quite a while is the Revolution brow pomade in Medium Brown, I apply this to my brows using an angled brow brush.
Eye shadow; For this eye look, I’m going to be focusing on the red shade’s because nothing shouts anything more Christmas. The palette I’m going to be using is the Revolution Iconic Fever palette which is my definite favourite at the moment. The first shade I’m using is the shade is the 4th on the top row which is a light orange shade which is perfect for a base shade, I ran this through my crease to start some dimension. The next shade I went in with was the one next to it which is a bit darker and I ran this through my crease also and on my lower lash line. The next shade I used was the red in the middle which is so pigmented and beautiful, I run this through my crease again and putting it more over my eyes. I do all this using a fluffy eye shadow brush. Next up, I’m going to be taking a flat top eye brush and running a glitter gold shade on the base of my lid to add that pop of glitter and gold is definitely a colour of Christmas.
Liner & Mascara; For eyeliner, I’m using the MUA felt liner and I’m going to be creating a cat eye look. For Mascara, I’m using the Elf lengthening and volumizing mascara which I’ve been loving at the moment, I’m applying this to both my top and lower lash’s.
Lips; To bring the whole look together, there’s nothing more Christmassy than using a bright red lip, I’ve been trying to hold off using a red lip until this look and I’m definitely obsessed once again, The colour I’m using if from Sleek and it’s called Rioja Red.
That’s the end to my Christmas makeup look, you could definitely add your own twist to the look to make it your own, let me know if you are going to do something similar to this for Christmas, thank you so much for reading, I’ll see you again tomorrow for another day of Blogmas.
