Good morning!! Welcome to Blogmas Day 21! I’m well and truly very excited for Christmas, I can’t seem to contain my excitement. For today’s post, I think I would tell you 5 reasons why I love Christmas and the lead up to Christmas, let me know in the comments what you love about Christmas!
1. Being around the people I love:
At Christmas, it’s probably the only time I get to spend with alll of my family as I’m at university throughout the year so I’m hardly ever home. It’s so nice to have a day where I’m completely with my family. It’s also nice spending the rest of Christmas and New year with my family before going back to university.
2. Being able to treat the people I love:
There’s nothing better than giving back to the people I love at Christmas. At the time your reading this it was mine and my boyfriends Christmas and it was so nice to see his face when he was opening all my presents I’ve brought. I’m definitely one of those people who would rather have nothing at Christmas rather than receive loads of gifts. It’s so special to give back to the people who have grown you into the person you are today, especially my family. As I never find time to treat them throughout the year it’s really nice to do it over Christmas.
3. The food:
Are you even human if your favourite thing at Christmas isn’t the food. The Turkey, the roast potatoes, pudding, veg & mash. As this is my first Christmas being polo- vegetarian so it’s definitely going to be different to be restricted from some foods but I’m so happy with the decision I’ve made. Also as I’ve been eating really healthy throughout the year, I can’t wait to be able to eat whatever I want especially all the roast potatoes I’ve ever wanted.
4. The decorations:
Over the Christmas period I looooove putting up the decorations. It’s definitely so nice seeing everything festive and magical, I really puts a person into the Christmas spirit. It’s also so nice to do this with your loved ones, it’s such a special moment when your putting the decorations on the tree, I just wish we didn’t need to take them down in January.
5. The lead up:
My favourite time at Christmas is definitely the lead up and I’d definitely take that over actual Christmas Day. It’s so nice to wake up in the morning and open an advent calendar and get the Christmas shopping done and go to Christmas markets. It’s definitely a time you can spend with loved ones and it really is the most magical time of the year. I love that no one can be in a bad mood over Christmas and everyone comes together to celebrate, it’s definitely something I look forward too every year.
That’s my top 5 completed, let me know in the comments what your favourite thing is about Christmas, until tomorrow,
