My 2019 Summer Bucket List

At the time I’m writing this, it’s pouring it down with rain which is pretty typical for England weather but it is forecast to be quite warm later on in the week and it is officially Summer so I thought I would put together a Summer bucket list. There is actually quite a lot that I want to do this Summer so I thought it would be a good idea to get it all down and use it is as a checklist for all my Summer plans!

I’ve tried to make sure that these goals are achievable just so I don’t get disappointed. Also, if you are new here, please follow me so you can keep up to date with all my uploads!

Go on my First Solo Trip

For the past year I’ve felt like I need my first solo trip. I did have plans earlier on in the year to go to Sri Lanka for a Summer placement but that fell through so I’m planning a trip to Paris on my own. It is definitely a small trip and I’m going to travel there by coach but I think that’s the best way to start. I don’t think I’m overly comfortable with flying just yet, I definitely wouldn’t be able to do it alone but with baby steps, hopefully one day I’ll be able to!

See More of the World

This is typical Chloe but I definitely want to travel more. Is there such thing as a Travelholoic because I think I am the definition of that. I do have a trip planned at the start of July to Copenhagen and Malmo which I’m really excited about. I also have my birthday coming up which I’d love to go away for and like I said, maybe Paris, so yeah hopefully I’ll get to go to all these places!

Up my Blogging and Instagram Game

I’ve actually been doing this for the past month but I’ve really tried to up my Blogging and Instagram game. It is very easy to become dissatisfied with Instagram especially with engagement recently, I think this has been a major problem for everyone at the moment! I’ve just been trying to write content I’ve been loving, I’ve talked about this a bit in one of my latest post if you want to give it a read.

Spend More Time with the People I Love

As I’ve mentioned quite a lot before, I do go to university and I’m going to be going into my third year, I moved home yesterday at the time your reading this so I’d love to spend some time with my family while I am home. I do come home quite frequent but only for a weekend so I’d love to go on a mini holiday with them and do some family things!

Plan My Dissertation

So like I previously said, I am going to be going into my third year at university and that obviously means I need to complete a dissertation. I’d love to get some planning done over summer so that I can jump straight into it and make it happen. I do have quite a few ideas that I’ve planned out already which was mandatory but I’d love to brainstorm all these ideas and make sure I know which one I really want to do.

Volunteer

As I don’t have any real responsibilities over summer besides my blog I’d love to get some volunteering in. I completed some volunteering before Christmas but I had to stop because I couldn’t find the time but I’d love to at least do a few hours when I’m free. I’m not actually sure what volunteering I want to do just yet but I think I’m going to do a lil’ research!

Go to a Festival and Pride

At the age of 19, I’ve actually never gone to a festival and I’d love to! I don’t think I could go to anything like Glastonbury just yet but definitely one day! I’ve been doing a little research on Google and Instagram to try and look for a local festival and I hope something comes up.

Similarly, I’d also love to go to Pride this year. I was planning on going to Pride Manchester last year but I decided not to super last minute which I kind of regret but I think this year I’m going to make sure I can go.

Those are the things I want to do during Summer, will I achieve them all? What is on your bucket list for this Summer?

  1. This is such an amazing idea! Would it be okay if I made my own and credit you? I would love to do a solo trip one day but just trying to make sure my anxiety is stable before I try! I really hope you get a chance to do everything on your list!

  2. Such a great bucket list! Solo travel sounds fun and I think Paris is the perfect place for that; it’s such a beautiful city. I’ve just finished my final year at uni so all I have on my summer bucket list is to find a job but hopefully, I’ll get some fun in there too!
